Challenge:

Our DSO customer had over 65 clinics with 6000+ patient appointments daily. Each of these patients wanted exceptional service from check in to checkout. The DSO wanted in-depth insights from patient’s arrival to treatment to billing & revenue. However, with the marketplace’s canned solutions, the needed level of customization wasn’t available to solve their reporting problems. In addition, the DSO had a large ERP system, Google Analytics, and their payroll provider that the out-of-the box solutions didn’t integrate with. To make matters worse, additional custom reporting and functionalities for their specialized needs and business processes was not possible from commercialized solution.

DSO leadership team was not getting reporting to the level it wanted. It was flying blind and was looking for a custom solution.

So, our customer trusted Dentistry Automation to streamline and develop a custom reporting solution by building their own Datawarehouse.

Our Solution:

Armed with the specifications from our customer, Dentistry Automation set out to streamline and develop a custom reporting solution for the DSO.

Based on several previous similar implementations done by Dentistry Automation for other DSOs, Dentistry Automation team brought in a team to help build various integrations along with using its own Dentistry Automation API that were licensed to the DSO. Dentistry Automation team built a brand new Datawarehouse from the ground-up and matched the source (PMS) and destination data.

Now having a single source of truth, Dentistry Automation’s team then went on to build several custom KPI-based reports for DSO’s leadership team that were built per leadership team’s requirements.

Dentistry Automation drew on its deep expertise in custom software development and the dental industry to design an automated reporting solution that fully automated the DSO’s reporting needs.

  • Extracted relevant patient data, claim data, collection data, and other data sets from the PMS system and stored it in the database.
  • Built the entire Datawarehouse matching customer’s technology tech stack.
  • Matched source and destination datasets to ensure data accuracy.
  • Consolidated the output reports into one PDF and Excel.
  • Sent the KPI reports in the requested format to DSO leadership team via email.
  • Built a separate team to accommodate ad-hoc reporting requests.
